Annecy
The route starts in Annecy, the most outdoorsy town in all of France. We will be able to get on a short ride along its spectacular lake and taste the best croissants before we head off to our mountain adventure.
Central Alps
The scenery just gets more and more dramatic as we approach the famed passes of Alpe d’Huez, Col du Glandon, Col du Galibier, and many more! From there, we reach the highest point of the route and the highest paved pass in Europe, at the Col de la Bonette. Then it is mostly a descent straight to Nice, while the alpine landscapes turn into beautiful Mediterranean forests.
The Mediterranean
Our vibrant adventure will end in the lively town of Nice, where we will be able to get on a short coastal ride. We will celebrate the conquest with a refreshing swim and a grand dinner.

The route
This is one of the best and most authentic rides we can delight you with.
Girona countryside & Catalan culture
This adventure starts off riding through the beautiful Girona countryside. The small, meandering roads will take us through charming medieval towns, gentle rolling hills, and beautiful farmlands. The ever-changing Catalan landscape will slowly change into more forest and alpine-like vistas as we start gaining altitude.
Rural & remote France
The moment we reach our first big pass to get to La Cerdanya Valley, we will be officially in the Pyrenees. From there, every single kilometer just gets better and better. As we cross the border to France, we enter the lush and remote Ariège region, where roads get extremely quiet and we will really feel that we are out there exploring.
The legendary passes
The mountains keep getting bigger as we approach the Central Pyrenees. The last two days of the ride are going to be thrilling and challenging as we reach the legendary Tour de France passes like: the Col du Tourmalet, Col d’Aubisque, Col de Peyresourde, and many more!

The route
Split & Biokovo Natural Park
The ride will start in the beautiful medieval walled city of Split. After a short local ride, we will hop onto the island of Brač for a day, before coming back to the mainland to explore the depths of the Biokovo Natural Park.
The islands
From there we will island hop for the next four days exploring the magnificent islands of Hvar and Korčula. We will explore some of the most remote corners and learn about their fascinating history while strolling in the old walled towns.
Pelješac peninsula & Dubrovnik
The adventure will conclude riding the majestic Pelješac peninsula from north to south, and arrive to the famed and absolutely stunning medieval jewel of Dubrovnik.

The route
A spectacular visual and cultural journey from the western Italian Alps to the iconic rock formations in the Dolomites National Park.
Italian Alps
The route will start in the spectacular town of Bormio, the base of the famed Giro d’Italia passes like Passo dello Stelvio, Passo Gavia, and Passo de Mortirolo amongst some other surprises.
South Tyrol
We then ride east into the South Tirol, a fascinating area with its own culture, history, and traditions, don’t you dare to mention you are in Italy! We will traverse incredible places like the fertile valleys of Merano and Bolzano and explore some remote back roads that only locals know.
Dolomites
We will continue our journey to the impressive and famous rock formations of the Parco Nazionale delle Dolomiti. We will spend three days on some of the most picturesque roads in Europe and enjoy some of the best South Tyrolean specialties.

Metropolitan avantgarde
Taiwan’s cities showcase a captivating blend of modern architecture and vibrant tradition. Chinese culture fuses with the local heritage and numerous subsequent influences, creating a stunning cultural kaleidoscope that invigorates every city center.
Tropical forests & Alpine mountains
As we dive deep into Taiwan’s interior, steep climbs unfold unexpectedly. The lush landscapes morph as we gain altitude, transitioning from tropical rainforests to alpine vegetation. We conquer the increasingly jagged mountains on low-traffic, well-maintained roads, surrounded by dense forested and off the beaten path.
Idyllic East Coast
The last portion of the trip entails stunning flat rides along incredible seaside roads. The captivating indigo ocean meets with pristine beaches and towering cliffs, for a visual feast of a spectacular and untouched coastline

Girona’s hidden gems
Famous for its beauty and character, Girona leaves you wanting more. The old town is exceptionally well-preserved, ready for you to explore every single corner of it. The culture emanates from every cobbled street and is passed down in the daily lives of its citizens.
Empordà & Cap de Creus’ Natural Park
Heading to the Empordà region, we pedal across narrow rural roads and sprawling fields. Medieval towns alternate with natural reserves, with unique geology and rich vegetation. The scenery is just out of this world!
The never-ending coves of the Costa Brava
We will ride on undulating stunning roads along the coast. The views of the Mediterranean Sea are simply breathtaking. We will make sure to stop at the best lookouts for you to take it all in.

Incredible views in this island paradise.
Palma & the enchanting fishing villages
Witness to centuries of history, Palma de Mallorca welcomes us with its marvelous 13th-century buildings. As we head out to the west coast, we travel back in time through picturesque little fisherman towns. In this rural setting, we appreciate the cuisine, just as deeply rooted in tradition.
Serra de Tramuntana, a beautiful challenge
This mountain range that runs southeast to northwest is the backbone of the island. We will explore the most hidden corners of it on super quiet roads. We will take on the challenges of climbing Puig Major and the legendary Sa Calobra, ‘the snake road’. And we will ride all the way to the northernmost point of the island: the jaw-dropping Cap de Formentor. The last kilometers to the iconic lighthouse, with dramatic cliffs on both sides of the path, has often been defined as one of the most beautiful rides in the world!
Farmlands and foothills
We are going to make our way back to the south through the island’s charming interior. Prepare yourself for the beauty and the calmness you will feel when riding between olive groves and almond trees. A perfect way to wrap up an incredible trip.

The route
A very unique orography, unlike any other place on the continent.
Vibrant Oslo
The route starts in the Norwegian capital city, an important cultural and historic site surrounded by forested hills. We bask in the striking architecture of the Opera House and the scenic landscape along the lively harbor, before heading to the west coast.
Fjords, glaciers, and incredible mountains
Once we cross the first fjords by ferry, we will be far from civilization and entering the depths of the wild west coast where the mountains and fjords grow mightier. We will ride in the Jostedalsbreen National Park and spend a couple of nights in the famed and iconic Geiranger fjord.
Epic roads and Ålesund
The final few days are mind-blowing as we ride on epic roads like the famed Trollstigen. Our adventure will culminate getting to the picturesque town of Ålesund, where we will say our goodbyes.

He loves spending quality time in each location, getting to know the locals, their traditions, and gastronomy in full depth, to then be able to share it with his guests and adventurers.
He considers himself a lifelong student and is always learning and studying about topics that fascinate him like philosophy, health, wellness, psychology, business, and more. He is always ready to find a moment for an in-depth conversation about any topic.

Alba is a vivacious person and has the most caring soul. She is our diligent second-in-command regarding operations and the enthusiastic expert behind all communication materials. Alba’s irradiating smile and gentle demeanor bring joy and comfort to everyone around her. New to the world of cycling but diving in head first, she is ready to climb any professional summits with her trademark passion and cheer. She has done her fair share of traveling and loves entertaining curious listeners with her adventure stories.
Lead guide & Head mechanic
Andreu is one of our most trustworthy guides and mechanics. He has been with Horizons Cycling since the beginning and he’s such a big part of our team. As the engineer and product designer that he is, he will always figure out a quick and effective solution for every issue that may arise during a trip. He is also a very strong cyclist and will encourage you while riding no-handed going up the toughest climb of the day. He is a very professional and loyal guide and leader that you can trust with anything.
Trip designer & Guide
Petra is a gem, with her many years of experience guiding on bikes and boats, and her deep knowledge of the history and culture of her region. She has a bubbly personality and is always on top of everything. She is thoughtful and with an excellent eye for detail. Originally from Zagreb, she has lived many years in Croatia and is currently in Slovenia getting certified as a physiotherapist. Petra is also an exceptional cook, with a passion for local gastronomy and a good network of regional producers.
Trip designer & Guide
Marco is an Italian living in France, making the most of both worlds. He has been a ski teacher and cycling guide for more than 20 years. He is the embodiment of professionalism and has service flowing through his veins. Always super attentive and encouraging, genuinely kind, he will go out of his way to make your experience absolutely memorable, always with a smile. He is a wine genius so if you are a wine aficionado, make sure to sit next to him at dinner, you will learn so much!
Physiotherapist & Guide
Maria is one of our greatest collaborators. She is an osteopath and physiotherapist who specializes in high-performance sports. She has done marvels to improve our guests’ well-being in the past, not only for the trip’s wear but has helped many to recover and improve from injuries that they had carried for years. On top of her professional skills, she is the kindest and most gentle person you could ever meet, she will always greet you with a beautiful smile and serve you with the greatest intention.

Dave is fearless and adventurous, a former pro-skier, and now also an amazing content producer. He has traveled around the world many times and has gained a broad perspective of life in general. Dave is forever brimming with creativity. He is tirelessly enthusiastic and always goes above and beyond. Norway & Scandinavia expert
Monica is a strong and ambitious person, and the definition of “wearing many hats”: trained as a chef and as an economist, she splits her time between cycling around her beloved Norway, working as a consultant in hospitality, and even writing a novel! In the 6 years that she has been riding, she has a few exploits in her belt, namely Oslo-Paris, Trondheim-Oslo (with some cross-country skiing in between), and even the Everest. She is a force of nature and a source of inspiration.
Spain expert
Marc is the best person to have around when unexpected things happen. His engineer’s brain will work absolutely anything out, he is the ultimate problem-solver and has a knack for creative and efficient fixes. A Catalan with Irish blood, he is as loyal as they come, and his trademark positive attitude and calm demeanor are a reflection of his big heart. As an avid cyclist, excellent mountain biker, and skilled mechanic, he is the perfect team member we like to have on our adventure trips!
Taiwan expert
Jennifer is a total powerhouse. She is as sweet and thoughtful as they get, but also an organizational specialist and a a tireless problem-solver. Jennifer is passionate and knowledgeable about her country and loves to share insights with our most curious guests. Always a pleasure to have around, with a smile that lights up the room.
France expert
Vincent was born into a family of winemakers in Burgundy and, as a winemaker himself, is a connoisseur of the region as well as the vinification process. He is a hard-working man who has spent 15 years diligently and tirelessly guiding road bike tours while also managing his family’s vineyard. Vincent is empathic and discreet, and he loves the human connection created when riding together. So much so, that he now guides only for special occasions and custom-made trips.
United States expert
Chris is another of our trustworthy guides and leaders. He is a very strong cyclist who will challenge you at any opportunity that he has. He is American but has guided in Europe for many years now, so he will be able to share with you some of the best-kept local secrets. As a professional mechanic, he will make sure all the bikes are in perfect condition every day and will solve any issues you may have. He’s a little quiet but watch out when he speaks; he’s very funny!

Anna is absolutely charming, and her easy smile radiates warmth. She is extremely responsible, and her deft manner with children makes her the most trustworthy nanny one could ask for. Not only she is a joy to be around, but she has impeccable savoir-faire and is acutely professional. Logan has spent much of his life pursuing both photography and the outdoors, which is what makes him the best person to capture the essence of Horizons Cycling. He is a calm presence who always lights up the mood with a great anecdote. Passionate and a perfectionist about his work, his photography is a fusion of his architectural sensibilities, creative passion, and individual expression. And he has an extraordinary capacity to spark a story beyond the bounds of the captured frame.

A ray of sunshine, an extremely creative person, and a visionary. Clara has a deep knowledge of how food can transform our health and well-being. She has been a professional private chef for over a decade – which has granted her many awards in her field. Her ability to make an art form out of food is a great asset on our most exclusive trips. She delightfully combines beauty with a conscientious use of resources. She has created unique techniques to achieve the highest level of cuisine using only seasonal and local products.
